What The Asian Media Awards Taught Me.

It was such an amazing opportunity to interview some truly inspirational media professionals at the Asian Media Awards, hosted by Nina Hossain in October at the Hilton Hotel. All thanks to the University of Salford asking me to report on both the nomination evening at the ITV Studios in London and the awards ceremony in Manchester a month later.

I learnt so much from both evenings and interviewed so many inspiring people from the Asian media community. I was really inspired by the really thought-provoking words from Corrie's Shelley King, who won Outstanding Contribution to Media, summing up the struggle minority groups have a had to put up with trying to break into the industry. She is such a lovely, genuine and passionate lady.

Most of all, I felt so proud to work with such fabulous student peers- such a great team to be part of resulting in a really successful night.
