One of my greatest achievements during my time at university is being the Station Secretary for our student radio station, Shock Radio. It's incredible to think that since starting out as a news reader in my first year to Head of News last year, that I'd be second in command at the station in my final year.
I couldn't do it without the incredible help from the 12 members of our elected committee. And the hard work and direction from Station Manager, Sam Morris. It's a cliche but through teamwork, together everyone achieves more. We really do. We've managed to change the station around after a small lull last year, pushing members and our limits further.
Some of our changes include holding more events in the SU as well as our own station events, the introduction of Podcasting and a daily hour news show called The Update.
I am proud to present Thursday's Update show discussing the latest news stories.
I spend on average 10-15 hours a week at Shock to produce other shows, reading the news and keeping the station running through keeping members informed!
Below are most of the links to the shows I have presented on Shock Radio this year.
I was also very pleased to voted Shock's best female 2016 at the Shock Radio Annual Awards. Voted for by my peers, it's so lovely to know that all my hard work and enthusiasm for the station has paid off.

Check out Shock's website, that I helped improve here: www.shockradio.co.uk .
